CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
💎 Cleaning:
-Peridot: Peridot should be spared from rugged wear. The best way to clean peridot is with warm, soapy water. You should protect it from scratching and sharp blows that can crush or shatter the stone. Also, avoid large temperature changes, such as ultrasonic and steam cleaners that could damage the stone. Peridot is sensitive to heat, acids, ammonia, and hot waters. Rinsing peridot in clean water is safe. Let it air dry and store it away from other metals or gemstones that might damage the surface. Remove peridot jewelry when doing heavy work that might scratch it, such as gardening or mechanics.
-Black Spinel: Spinel is a hardy stone with a Mohs hardness of 8. Multiple gemstone cleaning techniques are safe for spinel. Steam cleaners and ultrasonic machines are both safe methods. However, an untreated soft cloth and soapy water will typically be enough. It is not recommended to boil spinel as a cleaning method. Since spinel has a higher Mohs, store this gemstone away from other softer gems not to mar the surface of those gemstones.
💎 Cleansing & Charging:
-Peridot: Cleanse with warm water once a month. Recharge in quartz.
-Black Spinel: Cleanse once a month under running water. Let it dry briefly in the sun, or place it with a crystal.
